Shuguang Treasure Classic series of tube amplifiers are designed and manufactured by the well-known Chinese tube manufacturer - Shuguang Audio and it is the 4th generation from their very first design of tube amps around the Shuguang tubes in 1990s. You have the option to have this amp either with standard Shuguang tubes to keep budget down, or go right away with black bottle high end tubes from Shuguang.
The complete design concept of this amp was to achieve the maximum synergy between the circuit and the highly sought-after Shuguang Treasure tubes. To keep the complete amp affordable to all consumers, no fancy casing, no extravagant capacitors and no shiny lights. But under the cover, you will see an extremely well designed and well implemented classic ultra linear push-pull tube amp. Classic looking, great sounding.
For DIY-ers, this amp also offers you plenty of room to hot rod and experiment what you can ultimately push the performance to a different level by using different upgrade capacitors. The inside of the amp is very neatly laid out and very easy to upgrade.
For music-loving consumers, you can simply sit back and enjoy the glow of tubes and the beautiful KT88 power and sound.

- Suggested bias for KT88 power tubes: 35-40mV. You may set the bias to no less than 30mV and get 60wpc output. We do not suggest you bias the amp at lower than 30mV at any case.
- This amp can be modified to use EL34 tubes by changing the bias circuit resistor value. Such a modification should only be done by professionals and EL34 tube bias setting is 30-35mV.

If you would like to bring further improvement to the sound of this well built amp, consider to upgrade tubes and the stock caps to Psvane Teflon film copper foil capacitors.
Caps on the market built with same materials cost 2-4 times of the price. We offer FREE installation if you order them together with the amp - save yourself money to hire service techs.
How much the cap upgrade will benefit the sound? Consider yourself listening to music behind a blanket with stock caps, when using these Teflon caps, the blanket is gone! The difference is so BIG that you cannot miss it. You will have much more clarity, details, top and bottom extension and sound stage. Teflon caps needs 300hrs+ to fully burn-in, so please allow plenty of time to evaluate final sound quality with these high end caps.
