The Jungson AV-1000D switched to Stereo Class A mode sounds quite similar to our Grant Fidelity RITA-880 tube amp which is also made by Jungson Audio. Overall Jungson amps have a very relaxed presentation, with excellent soundstaging and imaging. With our current line-up of speakers we have not been able to make the Jungson AV-1000D compress at high volumes or to sound fatiguing.

You can use your DVD/Blue Ray player's analog outputs to drive the Jungson AV-1000D in either 5.1 or 6.1 channel mode. The other way to use the Jungson AV-1000D is to use your Home Theatre Receiver or DAC as a pre-amp to drive the Jungson AV-1000D. There are very few Home Theatre Receivers at any price that will compare to the sound quality and Class A power of this machine.

80 watts of Class A power is enough to drive almost any speaker load properly, what is so impressive is how subtle the Jungson AV-1000D is at low volumes. All the Jungson Solid State amps have almost a tube signature to their sound, with solid state accuracy and power.
