This set of beautiful Chinese red speakers is manufacturered by Compact, China's premier speaker manufacturer who was involved in developing and building Pioneer's TAD reference series speakers and have designed their own drivers / manufacturered their own speakers for over 15 years now. When you ask a Chinese audiophile or their competition in China who makes the best speakers there, many of them will say 'Compact', although it is not that well-known as Aurum Cantus by the western world. 

The Compact MB-8 Speaker System is the latest in a series that have spanned a 10-year life cycle and achieved the ultimate performance the designer has desired. While the sound quality is what makes Compact renowned as a speaker manufacturer, it is their attention to finish and detail that will truly impress the North American music lovers. The speakers all use 1" high grade shaped MDF, internally braced for exremely low resonance. All speakers are perfectly matched to each other in both sound and appearance, with special attention to the musical match of the SUW-8 subwoofer. On the exterior, Mappa Burl veneer is lightly coated with Chinese Red stain and then a clearcoat finish is applied for both sealing and a stunning appearance. We fell in love with the looks immediately during our China visit and then were blown away by how great each part of the sytem sounded on it's own and as a system. This is truly a world class Home Theatre speaker system at a bargain price. 

The Compact MB-8 system is highly configurable and can be expanded or reduced to any home theatre or music system. The Center Channels can be used for Sides, the Rears can be used as Fronts, the Fronts can be used as rears for Quad or really large rooms. The speakers are also offered as individual single or sets to mix and match to your needs. The Sub and Rears make a wonderful small stereo system, again perfectly matched for true hi-end audio and video reproduction. Of course the Fronts are excellent stereo speakers on their own.
